JABEZ DUNBAR, saloon keeper, Havana; was born in Northampton Co., Penn., Oct. 28, 1826, where he resided until his removal to Illinois in 1851; he first located in Havana in September of that year, and, about eighteen months later, removed to the State of Wisconsin, where he resided about six years, and then returned to Havana, his present home; he has been engaged in the manufacture of cigars, farming and grocery trade since his residence here, and, in 1877, engaged in his present business. By his first wife, Elizabeth Keller, there were four children, only one of whom is now living, Edward J.; his second wife was Margaret Keller, by whom he had one child. His present wife was Mrs. Mary E. Thompson (Griffith); she was born in Tennessee; they have two children, Omer and Preston. Mr. Duubar is a member of Mason Lodge No. 143, I.' 0. 0. F.
